ABS Activation on the Motorrad app

Where does the activation of ABS show up on the Motorrad app?  I don't see it anywhere, but maybe I don't ride aggressive enough to cause it to activate.

On the map in the ride replay mode. Make sure that ABS display is enabled in settings (I think it's enabled by default).

On the app home screen select "Rides"
In the list of rides, select the one you want to see.
On the four icons at the top of the data window underneath the map, select the icon for graphing logged data.
Once you have graphed data on in the window, choose the slider icon in the top right of the graph.
Scroll to the bottom of the "Choose Data" dialog and make sure ABS is turned on.
Now if you go back to the map you'll see any logged ABS activations.

If you still don't seen any, make sure your phone is connected for a ride, put the bike in rain mode, and brake aggressively with the rear, it's very easy to activate the rear ABS in any mode, but of course rain is the most sensitive. If you feel the pedal pulsate and it still doesn't get logged in the app, or you aren't able to get abs to activate at all, then something is wrong.

I notice far more cases of ABS activation on the app than I ever notice on the street, it seems like it records an event much more often than it actually intervenes. I think running over an imperfection in the pavement while braking is enough for it to sense a difference in wheel speed and record an event.

That's why I switched off display of the ABS activation on the map - it makes me sad when I see it haha

I recorded my first journey this week and was surprised to see a few ABS ‘activations’. I believe they are spurious because at the locations they claim to have happened there’s no way I locked a wheel.  In fact I can’t recall ever locking a bike wheel.

Most probably was a rear wheel. It takes nothing to lock it. Or, to be correct, for ABS to kick in.

Every notification happened to be at a place where I stopped and parked.  Two were at the end of my drive!  There must be something going on under these slow speed manoeuvring/stopping conditions.  In fact, thinking about it, they all happened at places where I paddled the bike backwards.

My suspicion remains that rather than reading this as "locked up wheel" or "ABS activated" it should instead be interpreted as "differential wheel speed detected during braking". If your wheels are spinning at measurably different rates for any reason (riding through a dip or bump in the road, for example) and you apply the brakes, the computer might see it as an apparent brief loss of traction.
