F900 XR and R available seats
on: April 03, 2020, 04:25:46 PM
I thought to put it also here for future generations

First of all be aware that XR and R seats are interchangeable, the height stated below is from the XR, for R you need to decrees 5 mm or 10, i am not sure about that.

795mm - Low Seat (only seat without shorter shock)
825mm - Standard
840mm - High seat
845mm - Comfort seat
870mm - Extra High

I have F900 XR and find the original seat a bit stiff for me so i bought the comfort seat, except the 20mm+ height i felt no better comfort than the standard they are practically the same

That's good to know, because I was interested in the comfort seat whenever my XR finally shows up.  I may just decide to go visit Corbin in that case, I'm kind of spoiled and they are only 45 miles away from me, so I can do walk in service with them once the world opens back up for business.

Today I received aftermarket seat by Wunderlich.
Did not have opportunity to test it yet due to bad weather conditions, but it was even recommended by my BMW dealer, so expect it should be far better than original one  :002:

I have the Low Seat and the Standard Seat. I am finding it hard to tell the difference. Sore Bum after about 250 Km. We usually do about 300KM  :087: :187:

So, first impression after two hours ride with new seat can be summarized in one word - GREAT. With stock seat I started to feel discomfort after an hour, and after two hours my butt started to ache. With new Wunderlich seat no sign of any discomfort after two hours, so from my side it is really good choice. Seat feels wider bellow butt, it is not too soft nor not too hard, seems perfect for long distance travelling, at least for me  :002:
