Looking to go down one tooth on the front sprocket. None of the main suppliers Iíve looked at
in the UK list the 900XR. Anyone know of a supplier who does or whether the 1000XR uses the same sprockets

The engine is from the f850gs, not the s1k.

Yup, and if you compare side by side, the part numbers are identical to the 850GS.  90% of the time if you need something engine/trans related to our bike, it's the same part from the 850GS.  Some of the internal stuff is different (like cams, pistons, etc), but the majority of the service components are the same.  If not the 850 then the 750, they share the same swing arm.
