Motorcycle Mouse Babies
on: June 18, 2021, 08:09:28 PM
Even rodents love to ride the F900XR. I noticed chewed paper under my F900XR and checked under the seat. There was a nest of paper that I cleaned out, I check the following two days and found another next after two days. Then I skipped a day and checked again after arriving home from work. These mice rode with me from home to work and back, about 50 miles or 80 kilometers.

Nice one, this made my day  :152:

Did you move them to some other location eventually?

Since I park the bike in my garage, I left the seat off and left the garage light on all night. I had just returned home so the engine was hot. I figured mama mouse moved her brood away from the bike to a dark, cool location. I have not seen her since.

I should check my airbox to make sure my filter was not the source of her nesting material.  :005:

Somebody told me I should have moved her next to a box with a hole in the side to encourage her to make that her home instead of my motorcycle.

Normally, I would trap mice but these babies made me think of my pregnant daughter and I could not bring myself to harm them.
