Pairing to bike and other headset
on: March 22, 2021, 07:13:42 PM
Apologies if this has been asked, had a look and couldn't see it though.
I connect my DFT to my phone and Schuberth headset. However, it won't let me connect to these and my boyfriend's Sena when out on a ride.
Is there a way to connect my headset to my bike and his headset? Would I need to connect him as a passenger despite being on a separate bike? Or can we connect headsets whilst I am still connected to the bike?

Hoping that this makes sense. Unsure if it's a BMW issue or Schuberth issue.
Thanks, Jen.  :158:

I believe it depends which Comms system you have and if that supports: you have to connect your Schuberth to BMW as "a phone/device" and then again your Schuberth to your boyfriends comm as "intercom", if that makes sense...

Which Sena do you both have and is the firmware up to date?  If they are older non-mesh headsets, then they will only support 2 connections at once, and even then it's not very good.  The newer headsets with mesh communications (30k and 50s/50r) can do both while in mesh mode, but some of the older firmware versions were problematic with multiple simultaneous connections.
