When I rode the dealer's demonstrator, I remember thinking that the side stand seemed very short, allowing the bike to lean a long way over when it was deployed.

For the longest time I didn't really agree with this as mine seemed pretty securely planted when parked on the sidestand. Until today when, while parked on its sidestand, my passenger stepped off the bike by stepping up first and tipped the bike left over the stand. Caught, and no damage done, but worrying - I've never experienced that before on any bike, ever.
