Kia ora from Aotearoa New Zealand

Kia ora kotou katoa - I've got an XR on order having ridden an F800ST for the last 9 years. Have to wait for a while because of challenges with delivery from the factory to New Zealand. Anticipation is high.
I'm new to this forum stuff! I've joined the forum to learn more about other riders experiences with this machine. I'm also interested to suss out if the luggage (panniers) from the F800ST can be mounted on the new XR.
Cheers
Tim

G’Day Mate,
Welcome to the group, do not mention Rugby and we will get on fine!
There is a current discussion on this forum re the very question you ask re the panniers. Hopefully it will work out for you.
Enjoy your new machine, they are great.
Stay safe out there,
Cheers

Welcome to the forum.
Actually been to Queenstown when I toured NZ many years ago, great scenery and lots of wacky things to do. Great riding around that area I would imagine.
Cheers

That’s odd. Did he say why? There should be no reason for that.

I just assumed normal running in protocols keeping revs pretty evenly spread but not over the 4500 mark
Didn’t bother me I had 1500km up in about 10 days or so

Thanks MattR - You'll have to come back when we open the borders. The scenery is still here along with the wacky things to do. Just not so many people doing the wacky things! Yes - some really nice riding in the area. The Crown Range from Queenstown over to Wanaka is a particular treat if you love the twisties.
