New Screen required but what works
on: October 16, 2020, 06:28:32 PM
My XR is currently fitted with the factory touring screen but it is not ideal as it is too loud and I get some buffeting at the top of my crash helmet. I am looking to replace it. Does anybody have any real world feedback on any of the following options :-

1 - Givi Touring screen
2 - Wunderlich Marathon screen
3 - MRA Varo screen

Ideally I am lookng for something a bit taller and wider

Thanks

Hi, I have the MRA  vario screen & find it work really well, the standard one (taller version) was really noisey for me.

Thanks for that Tubbylodge, do you find the wind on your shoulders reduced as well.

Hi, I am only 5Ē7 & a bit so didnít notice any shoulder wind blast before, but I am glad to stop the turbulent & noisey wind I got from stock tall screen, I also have a low dark  ermax screen which looks much better but although better than the original still noisy at speed

Hello,
I have this one from Puig Spain: really good quality and fits well with the design. Good protection too !

You can go down to the windows too see how it fits on the bike from the original windscreen by sliding the mouse left/right.

Thanks DidByr,

That looks interesting but the diagram on their web site makes it dfficult to know how tall the screen is. If you get time would you mind measuring the distance from the top screen mounting bolt to the top of the screen please?

The distance is 27 centimeters from the top screw at the top of the windshield.  :158:
