Pick it up tomorrow
on: September 11, 2020, 09:16:55 PM
Picking up a six month old XR 900 tomorrow. Trading my 2015 S1000XR in against it. Just couldn’t bring myself the spend 15k on a new S1000.

Looking forward to the new bike, just have to get used to the drop in power. No bad think as I’m getting on abit now  :038:

I'm hoping to be picking mine up on 1st of October (trading in a R1200RT).

Looking forward to reading (both of) your comments.

Picked the bike up this afternoon and I have to say I'm really pleased. Doesn't have anything like the power of the 1000 which I completely expected but I think it's handles so much better. Easy to flick it into the corners. And no vibes in the bars which is a real bonus.

Love the connected App which works great, used the sat nav on the journey home and worked really well.

First impressions are not a bad move coming down from the S1000.

My first new bike in 31 years. Only my third bike purchase in that time. HullXR is right about the smoothness of the bike. I think it will be comfortable on long rides if that seat breaks in. Quite a powerful engine for a light bike. Very happy with my purchase.

The white looks better in person than in photos. Sometimes it looks silver like in the photo in my post. Mostly it's bright white.

I'm thinking of naming it Pale Horse.
