    Fork reflector removal

Does anybody know why the fork reflector is on these bikes everywhere?  As far as I know this is not a requirement for most countries - the US is the place I most associate with these ugly tack-ons.  Before I remove mine, does anybody have any advice or wisdom about it?  It seems odd that an OEM is adding them to bikes that don't need them, when OEMs are famous for holding back on any little thing that adds cost, time or complexity to production.

Not sure why you want to be less visible, but it’s your choice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I've taken mine off.
I think that the number of times you are going to be upright at night with someone driving towards the side of you - is minimal or zero.
They normally pull out in front of you - and i have a big white light on that side  :156:

I don't really like the reflectors. What's left behind with them removed - glued on I guess?

I took mine off recently. They are held on by those self-adhesive foam pads - I was able to remove the residue just with my fingernail.
