Sadly I discovered something about the hazard warning lights today that I didn't know about. I had to use them as I attended the scene of a car accident that my wife and children were involved in. Happily the Volvo kept them all safe and nobody else was hurt but I got the call about the accident and went on the bike to get through the traffic that had built up as a consequence. On arrival I activated the hazard warning lights and attended to my family.
Returning to the bike I thought I didn't really need them any more so I pushed the button to turn them off. I noticed they didn't go off though so I tried again - same result. I then switched the bike on and then tried again and they went off as commanded. I suppose they operate like this to prevent anybody from just switching them on or off. Having now consulted the manual I see it is covered in there. This is the first bike I have owned that even had hazard warning lights!
