No, my bike was fitted with a Datatool tracker, BMW did it as standard for a while due to all the bike thefts. They stopped doing it this year I believe. It’s a unit under the seat which can just be disconnected in case anyone wants it reactivated in future.

I have a 2021 bike and was told on the day of collection that it had a Datatool Tracker fitted and I would need to put it on a Optimate trickle charger or the battery would be flat in a week. I had it disconnected at the first service - for a fee of course!

Just to update everyone with my battery problem. I kept the battery plugged in my smart charger over the winter. Since then, I've been using my bike almost every day with no issues for the past 5 weeks. I've been regularly checking the voltage on the battery on the TFT screeen and while the bike is running, it steadily stays above 14V and when engine is off it never goes below 12V.

So really nothing to explain my problems last year. I'll update is thing change.
